Mulan Quan (Orchid Fist) Tai Chi with Alexia
Mulan Quan with Alexia Rees
Nov 02, 2018 - Nov 04, 2018
Alexia Rees is a longtime practitioner and a teacher of Qigong (vital energy gathering) and Mulan Quan, a feminine Tai Chi style that has only recently been introduced in the West. Ms. Rees has trained with a direct disciple of this unique styles founder, Ying Meifeng, from Shanghai. This graceful and feminine Tai Chi style is based on Hua Jia Quan, an ancient martial art featuring dance movements. Mulan Quan is beautiful to watch; it is a meditative dance, through which the practitioner develops gracefulness, poise, strength, and balance. Although new to America, Mulan Quans health benefits have attracted thousands of followers throughout China, Japan, Southeast Asia, and Europe. Both Qigong and Mulan Quan are effective for rebalancing and revitalizing the body system and improving bodily functions.
In addition to her tai chi practice, Ms. Rees is an accomplished pianist
and a long time music teacher, and holds a masters degree in the
field of interactive media.
